Euro falls back to 2003 quotations
Bucharest - The Romanian currency, the leu, yesterday appreciated against the euro, with 1 euro being traded for RON 3.52 (ROL 35,272), the best rate in the past two years and a half, on massive offer of forex and the lack of Central Bank's (BNR) intervention with the forex market.

One could say that this is good, but in my opinion this will induce a decrease of the exports and also the imports will raise. So in long term, this is bad for the economy. I would prefered a firm intervention from the BNR (the national bank) resulting in the return of the leu/euro rate.
