AP - Scientists have found high levels of arsenic in the hair of King George III and say the deadly poison may be to blame for the bouts of apparent madness he suffered.

Maybe that explains his crazy laws he kept making on the colonies that eventually drove them to pull away from the crown. In fact, he wouldn't be the first leader to be suspected of be influenced by drugs. But back then, the side effects and mood altering properties of drugs and chemicals where not known.
