You dismount and enter the tavern together. You approach the man behind the bar,
"Good day to ya! We'd like to ask you sir to give us something to eat ... not too expensive, but something to keep us full for awhile."
The man nods and shows you the board where it says for a gold piece you get a hearty meal, then you continue,
"Also, I was wondering if you could tell us what do you know about the road to the village. Are there any dangers one could meet if traveling there?"
GM: Say what you will do now. Raul, sorry about the GPs mixup, that was an error on my part.
The man says he knows nothing about it really. He then says you are welcomed to sit down at a table that is free. You look around and find one in what seems to be a very busy tavern full of all kinds of people, young, old, maidens of the night and so on.
"We'll take your offer, sir! Give us that meal for 1 GP you have there!"
After some time you brought each a leg of meat, potatoes and greens with a mug of your favorite. You begin to eat...
GM: Say what you will do now.
The better of you has become tantalized by this rich meal and you have almost forgotten your mission at hand. You both then agree to go check the horses in turns, ensure all is okay and then return to eat.
You arise, not feeling in any way happy that you have to interrupt such a delight. You walk over to the doors of the tavern, peer outside and see nothing of your horses nor your wagon. You frown, then you physically stand outside... nothing of yours is there. You then stand in the middle of the street and look all around, but see nothing of your horses or your boss' wagon. For that matter you have just realized that you have not been keeping your eye on the boss! Your heart begins to pound, you have been 'taken'!
GM: Say what you will do now.
Sidraul experiences a moment of anger and blurts out loudly,
"I can't believe this happened ... I can't believe we acted so stupid, but most of all I can't imagine our boss to be a thief!"
Just as he says that he looks over to the other part of the Tavern where his boss, who was quietly eating, is now frowning and looking at you in a quizzed way.
Sidraul continues,
"Does anyone saw how this could happen ... does anyone know who took our goods? There were 2 horses here. Anybody?"
People start looking at each other and then at you in a confused way, not really knowing what you are talking about, so you explain your missing horses.
Then your boss arises upon hearing this and says,
"What be the black ash of my behind art thou saying?"
He then leaves his table and goes out side where he shouts,
"My cargo!"
He then looks back at you in a menacing way. You begin to think that things might just become even more dim for you if you do not act fast.
GM: Say what you will do now.
The enraged man then belittles you even more using phrases that are worthy for criminals and evil villains, and he does this in front of those within hearing of the tavern. This raises the hair on the back of your neck and you feel to either do battle with him or leave the place quickly as standing still will only add to the aura of incompetence created by your boss.
GM: I am back with it, say what you will do now.
Indecision gives way and you are soon taken by the folk of East City and made to pay in ways you thought not possible...
GM: This scenario is closed. No one is sure whatever happened to your characters.
