Pit bulls are illegal and dangerous by nature. They are one of the few animals that are considered domestic that are natural killers. Pit bulls that have not been trained have been found to attack people for no apparent reason. She was not doing a favor keeping it from being put down. It should never have been brought into the city, and the penalty for that is euthanizing the dog. This is a bad decision on her part.

I think that Konquererz is right in the fact that Pit Bulls can be an aggressive danger, but to my mind I don't think that it's full inbred in them, I think that people for years have trained them to be the aggressive and destructive dogs that we read about so often.
I know a couple of people who in the past have had pit bulls, and they have been of the softest nature that you could ever wish for.

I suppose in this lady's mind she is hoping that this dog that she is rescuing is of a nice nature, but as she doesn't know the full history of the dog, in my opinion, she is taking a big risk.
