AP - A breach-of-contract lawsuit brought by Van Halen against the Baltimore Orioles seeking at least $2 million from a failed concert deal will go to trial, a lawyer for the rock band said.

Well, if there is a written contract then I do not think Van Halen would have a problem in getting that money from the Orioles. We are talking about 2 million dollars, it is not small change, nevertheless I am sure the Orioles can afford it.

Although Van Halen is entitled to some compensation, I think they are only likely to be awarded what they can show they lost in income. I doubt they would have made anywhere near that for just one concert.
