Mysterious reptile eludes capture in park

Reuters - A mysterious, alligator-like creature that surfaced in a Los Angeles suburb has eluded capture for nearly a week, shrewdly passing up raw chicken bait and dodging reptile wranglers in pontoon boats.

That's pretty funny, crowds turning out to watch the "hunters" try to catch their "prey." I'll bet they look like a bunch of knuckleheads out there. In my opinion, it's just someone's former pet that got too big to care for and they let it go -- unfortunately, in the suburbs!
