Rush Hour & Rush Hour 2

Jackie Chan stars with loads of laughs. I believe one was better than two and for me the absolute highlight of the show is Chris Tucker! What is your review?

Hour Rush and Hour Rush

I have only seen the first one and honestly that was enough for me. While I enjoyed the Jackie Chan humor, I was throughly annoyed by the Chris Tucker character by the end of the movie. I always like Chan's stunts, so that is why I stuck through it. I probably will never watch the second unless there is absolutely nothing more to watch and it is on TV.

Not a Chris Tucker fan huh? I like Jackie Chan, but you know, after awhile it is just the same thing over and over, especially being once in the arts I guess makes me 'see' how fake most of his stunts and fights can be, so Tucker is where my laughs were focused.

I love both of them. I try to watch all of the Jackie Chan movies that I can, and while I am not a huge Chris Tucker fan, I love what he does in these movies.

I agree that the first is better than the second, but there are some great scenes in the second movie. Since it is placed in Hong Kong (?), there is the added exotic element that just adds spice to the whole thing.

I think I laughed more in the second movie than the first movie, but the plot was a bit deeper in the first one. There are very few Chris Tucker movie I'll watch because he does tend to be very profane in his speaking, and sometimes it just gets to the point to where I can't take it anymore.

I enjoyed both movies and I think these two guys complete each other quite well. As for Jackie's stunts, you have to consider that he never uses stunt-doubles, no matter how hard the stunt is. As a matter of fact, he said he had broke almost every bone in his body, but he'll still do his stunts. Tucker is a very good comedian - remember him from "The 5th element"?

I loved the "Rush Hour" series because of the comedy. It's really sad that one , in my opinion, of the greatest actors of martial arts movies is growing old and has to rely on comedy to make his living. I have seen nearly all of Jackie Chan's movies from when he was younger and up. We, my family, have really old Jacki Chan movies from that are in the chinese language.
