Saladin

Saladin led his armies against the King of Jerusalem and took it away from the hands of the English. He kept his hands on it even though King Richard 'the Lion Heart' tried to take it back. Many say that Saladin was sent by Allah to take Jerusalem and others say that he was simply a conquerer and doing what all conquerers do. What are your thoughts?

Notes: Saladin is one of very few personages of the time of the Crusades that has managed to be positively described in both Western and Eastern sources. With his high position among his Western opponents, he has become a figure that have fascinated Western writers

Saladin

Personally, I really consider him a conquerer, and a spiritual man. He wasn't the first to conquer in the name of a deity. He conquered to conquer, which was why he conquered Syria, Iraq, and Egypt. But he captured Jerusalem for the love of Allah. Saladin conquered as a conquerer would, but also as a fighter for his faith.

His correct name would be salahadin and its two words in arabic: Salah Adin

He is considered as a hero and a holly man. He became admired also in the western world because he did not kill the christians and jews when he took Jerusalem from the Crusades. People thought he will do the same as the Crusades did when they took it.

All muslims look up to him and Saddam even tried to make people think he is like Salahadin when he took kuwait and that he is tyring to build one big islamic country, after all, this is the dream of all muslims.
