Art is loosely define as an expression of beauty or having an aesthetic value to it. A fetus head provides no beauty, aesthetic value, or cultural value of any kind. Art is much more than freedom of expression, its the expression of the human soul. Dead body pieces sewn together is neither artistic or self expressive since it took no learned or inherited artistic function to create it. It was two left over pieces sewn together and didn't take any creativity or any creation acactivitieso make it. This is left overs that someone didn't want melded into something aweful by a man who didn't have enough creative genes to make something on his own. If he had created it in some medium, it would be art. But he couldn't even be bothered to use a medium. Dead body pieces are not a medium and not art, and I am usually all for any form of art being given free reign. But this is not art.
It is very hard to get recognition for art because anyone can take up a paint brush or pencil and then create 'something' and declare it art, so modern artists tend to go for the shock factor to gain popularity, but in this case it is making the man infamous.
