Paris Hilton - Page 9

I had to chuckle while reading this article. I am sorry that I missed that episode! I suspect that David Letterman probably tried to encourage Paris Hilton, to come on his show after she was released from jail but all his efforts were proved to be futile. Now that she is promoting a new fragrance and her new movie, it is time for revenge, Letterman style. The audience and myself are very shocked about how blunt and relentless he behaved towards Paris. But Paris did put herself in that position! It would not be surprising, if this is Paris Hilton's last appearance on the David Letterman show!

Hilton Paris

In Paris" biography, author Jerry Oppenheimer says that her parents Rick and Kathy Hilton are proud of her graphic sex video, 1 Night In Paris, because it made her the star she is today.

Is she broke? Her grandfather just decided to donate 97% of all he has to charity once he passes away.

QUOTE
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Hotel heiress Paris Hilton's potential inheritance dramatically diminished after her grandfather Barron Hilton announced plans on Wednesday to donate 97 percent of his $2.3 billion fortune to charity.

That wealth includes $1.2 billion Barron Hilton stands to earn from both the recent sale of Hilton Hotels Corp. -- started by his father Conrad in 1919 when he bought a small hotel in Cisco, Texas -- and pending sale of the world's biggest casino company, Harrah's Entertainment Inc.

That money will be placed in a charitable trust that will eventually benefit the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, raising its total value to about $4.5 billion, the foundation said in a statement.

Barron Hilton, chairman of the foundation, intends "to contribute 97 percent of his entire net worth, estimated today at $2.3 billion, including the created trusts, at whatever value it is at the time of his passing," the foundation said.

Paris Hilton was not immediately available for comment on her grandfather's plans for his fortune.

Jerry Oppenheimer, who profiled the Hilton family in his 2006 book "House of Hilton," has said Barron Hilton is embarrassed by the behavior of his socialite granddaughter Paris and believes it has sullied the family name.

Barron Hilton, who is 80, has not commented on Oppenheimer's remarks.

The foundation supports projects that provide clean water in Africa, education for blind children, and housing for the mentally ill. Its aims, based on Conrad Hilton's will, are "to relieve the suffering, the distressed and the destitute...

I think that there is a little more to this story. It is interesting that Paris' father is donating most of his wealth mainly to charity. But I have to wonder, is the Baron suffering from Alzheimer's disease? Did he have a falling out with Paris's father? Is the main reason exclusively that he is ashamed of his granddaughter, Paris? I think there is a lot of bad blood here and maybe the grandfather is doing this as his ultimate revenge against his son. But I guess we will never know!

Ohhh...don't worry for poor Paris. She will do just fine. The cynic in me says that if times get too tough for her, that there will accidentally be another sex video released. But then again, we all know that her time in jail (all like 3-4 days of it) has sent her on the path of right and she has learned valuable and lifechanging experiences that have now got her on the right path and not as focused on being a heiress and materialism.

Hold on...I have to check the bile rising up my throught...

Yes, Paris is a totally new person that has left the trappings of materialism behind her and is interested in helping her fellow man. Having to do that with a few less million will be quite a task...maybe she is up to it!

I just saw a advertisement with Paris naked and peddling her new champagne. She is quite the savy business woman. She just really does not sing well at all!

Oh by the way, Paris's father still has money and seems quite willing to give it to her, so while she will miss out on the majority of granddads money, she will do OK by her father.

Oh yes, David Letterman getting old. After making fun of Paris Hilton several times, he apologizes to her in public:

QUOTE
Paris Hilton's Friday night guest appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman differed from her last, in September, when the CBS host couldn't stop badgering her about her just-finished jail sentence.

"We have a lovely woman who's been in prison," Letterman said Friday, explaining why he previously behaved the way he did. "I put those two things together and my head starts spinning."

Rehashing how he verbally accosted Hilton the last time, "I continued to press the point," Letterman acknowledged - though Hilton had made it clear she was finished talking about her life behind bars.

"I thought I was hilarious," Letterman recalled, until others the next day told him, "No, you were an donkey----."

He also heard Hilton was hurt and vowed never to return to his show. So he called her, wrote a letter and sent flowers, which she called "sweet." And he cajoled her into returning to his show, which she did Friday - one week before her new movie, The Hottie and the Nottie, opens.

"It's like a first date," said Letterman, admitting he was "on probation." As Hilton, in a yellow dress, made her stage entrance, the Late Show band played "I Love Paris."

"I offended you. I'm not here to make enemies, honestly," Letterman, 60, told Hilton, 26. "I'm terribly sorry."

I think that David Letterman is a very shrewd businessman. Apparently, he received a lot of complaints from his own viewers about how harsh he was with Paris last year. I think he underestimated how many fans this young lady has. So now, he is working over time to do some damage control. So he wooed Paris back by apologizing via letter, sending her flowers and begging her to return to his show. Of course we all know how Paris loves attention. So naturally, she returned and forgave David Letterman. I believe he knows that having Paris on his show, usually boosts his ratings. And with the writers strike, it is becoming more and more of a challenge for these late night talk show hosts to boost their own ratings. So therefore, he cannot afford to be in the dog house with Ms Hilton!

McCain used Paris for attention and now the shoe is on the other foot. Check out this video of Paris for President!

Now I am not a huge Paris fan, but that is funny. For the briefest of seconds, she actually sounded intelligent. Donald Trump says she is smart and I think I could see it for just a second in the video. Not quite sure I am ready to change my vote, but am looking forward to the debates! laugh.gif

Thank you White Haired Dude!
