You Cannot Shoot A Prophet

What I like about the character of Joseph is the almost seemingly arrogant, but not so, way he had at showing his enemies that they were not as good as or should I say greater than the power of God. Look at this picture and short clipping of a story out of the journals of Sarah Stoddard.

Prophet Shoot You

I agree - it's fun to hear about prophets being smug, and rightfully so. It reminds me of Elijah's taunting the priests of Baal, for example. Joseph Smith is a great example, because he took the gospel seriously, but did not shy away from humor and fun just because he knew the Plan of Salvation better than any other person on the Earth. Having the truth is not an excuse to be stonefaced. I'll bet Joseph had a good laugh about this experience, after giving many thanks to God.
