Seven children, all from the same family and all adopted, were killed in a car accident in Florida. A driver of a truck failed to register a school bus stopped in front of him, and the vehicle behind it. He crashed into the back of the vehicle, which slammed into the back of the bus. The car erupted into flames, and all that was left was ashes from the car. All on the bus were injured, but no fatalities occured. The reasoning behind why the truck driver failed to see the stopped vehicles is still under observation.

As I understand it, the teenager who was behind the wheel of the car with all the children in it, was driving illegally because there was no accompanying adult. Even though her actions did not cause the accident, I wonder if any charges will be brought against the family for negligence or endangerment. Not that they need any additional grief in their lives right now; they've been through so much already.
I seriously doubt it, malexander. There wasn't anything she could have done differently to have prevented what happened from happening. I believe in one of the articles I read one of the family members brought that up and said something that had there been an adult in the car, it would have just been one more family member dead. So, yes, she was driving illegally, but she is in now way at fault for what happened. The truck driver was the one person at fault.
