I Lived With An Addict

It may not be that you are addicted to any substances within this Board, but maybe you live with someone who is (or was) addicted. Feel free to use this thread to share your experiences and how you coped with the situation.

Addict With Lived I

Addiction takes many forms. The first thing that comes to mind is someone addicted to illegal drugs. But addiction can take place with prescribed drugs for something in which you have to have the drug. My wife had to take valium for her dizzy spells that where so bad that she would be out of the picture for hours even days. But even once the dizzy spells subsided she still had the strong desire for it. She was very irritable and cranky when the script wasn't called in on time. It was very rough on her getting off the valium but she eventually did it.
