*Notes so many coins being flashed and smiles to himself*
*looking to the new comer* Tis a word to the wise my friend ye might put some thread to that gash. Tend to let it mend much quicker.
He nodded as the man walked off, sliding a silver peice to the table. "I've come from a ways off. A long ways off." he said with a grin. "I've come for a job, so to speak, and I've already gotten my first payment." Another grin and the flash of a fair pouchful of gold and silver. He takes the whiskey in one hand, downing the hard liquer quickly.
He turns his attention now to the man talking to him. "It'll be fine by itself. No need for any thread. 'Tis only a flesh wound, in any case." he replies. As he talks he pulls one of the two long daggers from his belt and scratches away at the dried blood crusted on the blade.
Ah ye be a warrior type eh?
As ye can see by my natural body stature that I have fought many a dragon myself and many a warrior has begged for my lessons in the ancient arts.
* He almost clumsily slips while saying it. *
He chuckled lightly to himself at the barkeep's remark. "Warrior? Not likely. I do not brandish foolishly some great blade larger than I that I can only swing and hope to hit something." he said, unsheathing the second long, wicked-looking dagger.
"I prefer to be able to actually kill my enemy. If any, the attack should not be noticed until the blade sinks deep." he said, twirling the daggers in hand. "If it is, they have a chance to fight back." He added this as he motioned with the tip of a blade at the tightly bandaged wound on his arm. "This was a mistake, and nothing more."
He tosses another coin to the table. "Another whiskey, barkeep."
Ah surely ye be liking meh whiskey.
Have ye skills in dragon slaying?
* In the same breath he runs off to get the drink, scan the room for any needs his customers may have and then returning his concentration to the conversation *
Taking the whiskey from the man, he grinned sheepishly. "I've fought and slain far more dangerous creatures than dragons, my friend." he said, downing the drink. He reached over to pat the man on the shoulder. "Demons and things. Them creatures would like to kill you more that a dragon would, my friend."
"Your whiskey is a good one." he said with a nod and a grin. "I think I'll have another." He reached for a coin, then paused. "Y'know what? I'll just treat myself tonight and buy the bottle." he said, tossing two gold coins to the table. "That should cover it enough. Keep the change." He chuckled and placed his arms behind his neck and leaned back.

* Nods furiously in agreement *
Ye know thy whiskey lad!
* Rushes over to get what looks like a favorable bottle and returns with an empty silver mug. *
Fer meh special customers I give ye 'the treatment'.
Rather off topic, but... Draco: Did you check out 'House of Horrors 2', they are in need of more players. |
He nodded to the barkeep. "Thank you kindly." he said, pouring himself a mug of whiskey. He took a long sip, placing the cup back onto the table. He gave the man a nod, grinning widely. "I do, and that, my friend is some good whiskey."
Rather off topic, but... I haven't. I just started yesterday, and this is the first forum that I have joined. |
