Come on people! Why is the first thing when we think of New York, is the city? Niagara Falls, the Adirondack Mountains, Far Eastern Long Island, the Erie Canal, and the Women's Movement all are major cultural,historical and geographical parts of New York State.
It is amazing to see how different they are all, and how one state can ecompanass all that.
NEW YORK BOROUGH SPENDS 7TH DAY WITHOUT POWER
As tens of thousands of residents suffered through another day without electricity, New York City political leaders called on Gov. George Pataki to designate part of the borough of Queens a disaster area.

Being an immigrant myself, I believe the JFK airport security in New York is too tight. In fact, the whole country is very tough on immigrants. All we did was get in the wrong line for the stamps, and we had to wait for an hour before we could gain entrance back into the country, plus we have green cards!
