Georgia played a premier part in the civil war. While Georgia was a slave state, was one of the first to secede, they were one of the hardest hit by the removal of slavery. Georgia still has many of the old cotton mills intact as historical sites. Today, Georgia is a large thriving state which boast stone mountain and several top flite colleges. Georgia was also the ending point for Shermans March to the Sea.
Georgia is a southern state. People there seem to be friendly from what I've heard. The state also has beautiful scenery; trees, grass, and nice weather. Georgia is known for it's peaches.
