Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson is actually a very intelligent woman. People assume because she has used her looks to get ahead that she has no brains. This is not true. I have heard and seen several interviews with her. I was very impressed with how well spoken she is and also with how she handled the interviewer when she didn't want to answer a particular question.

Don't let her good looks and perhaps your natural jealousy of them taint your view.

I actually think she is intelligent and good-looking, but not a good actress. Overall, I can't stand her because of everything she represents culturally. It may be fiscally shrewd for her to use her body to get ahead in the world, but the example she sets by doing that has some young women aspiring to be the next Pam. That is not healthy.

A good actress she isn't, and as for a beautiful person - while she does have a beautiful body, something about her face suggests that she is not beautiful inside, and it seems like she has only physical and made-up beauty. I also agree with Howe that she is not setting a good example for younger women.

I disagree with both Howe and Smudge (both male) on this point. I don't think it is her use of her good looks that is the problem. It is her success with this method that is the problem. That success is a result of all the males who go nuts over her. If men didn't judge women by their looks, no one would get the "wrong" message. Incidently, they aren't getting the "wrong" message at all. They are getting the "correct" message, which is, if you are good looking you will be more successful than those who aren't.

So, I don't blame Pamela Anderson at all. I blame those who grant her and others success because of their beauty. I believe we should all use what gifts we have to our advantage. She isn't breaking any laws by using her beauty for success. In fact, I don't even think it is morally wrong for her to do so. (I am speaking of her success in traditional media only.)

Well, first of all I do not think she is a good looking woman. In my humble opinion, a beautiful woman should be judged by natural beauty NOT made up (extra make up, breast enlargment, etc). I would be able to say whether she is a good looking woman or not if she removed all that excess of make up, stop dying her hair to death, and remove his breast implants then maybe we will know how the real Pamela Anderson looks like.

Now, regards to her acting I think she is not even an average actress. She used to have a show (I can't remember now the name) where there were a group of women who were like detectives and her acting was horrible!. I could not believe she was actually doing television. What a generous country was the USA to allow her to have her own show *shaking head*.

I also read and heard some interviews and I do not think she is a bright woman (in my opinion a bright or intelligent woman would not do the things she did). I do not think she is dumb, I think she just handled the interviews in a normal way. Just because she is blonde and everybody stereotypes blondes does not mean that because she says something that makes sense she is suddenly an intelligent person.

Like it or not, men are more visually oriented than women. It's not that we do not have the power not to look, but visual stimulation affects us much more than other types of stimuli. Pamela Anderson is the epitome of taking advantage of this innate tendency. Do you think any guy really wants to be addicted to pornography, soft-core or otherwise? That is not anybody's life ambition. Men are responsible for what they consume, but we cannot be surprised that women who flaunt themselves get noticed. Although many men may be turned on by those women, most also think they are cheap.

As far as just looking good, men respect women who try to look good, but in good taste. Would you offer Pamela Anderson or Paris Hilton a corporate job?

I don't think Pamela is a great actress in the traditional sense like Meryl Streep. I do believe she is very talented. There are lots of women that look like Pamela but there is only one Pamela.

In my experience, women judge other women by their looks far more than men do.
