I would be really worried that I had already drunk the E. Coli infected water if I lived in Vancouver. I drink allot of water and its important to me that the water be safe. We had a boil order in my town that ended up being a false alarm, but its scary none the less when you drink a gallon of tap water a day. On top of that, 500 house holds is quite a large amount of effected families and businesses. Boiling all your water is truly an inconvenience. And if you don't boil it long enough, then it doesn't kill the bacteria. You cannot cut corners when a boil order is given. In this case, it could cost you your health or even your life.
