Diabetes affects millions of people, are you aware of the ways in which insulin can help?
FDA Advisers Recommend Inhaled Insulin
AP - Millions of people with diabetes may have an alternative to some or all of their daily needles if the government adopts an advisory panel's recommendation to approve the first insulin that can be inhaled.

My brother in law is diabetic as are a couple of my uncles. I am also at risk for diabetes so this subject interests me. I absolutely detest needles. The idea of an inhalable insulin treatment seems like a much easier and less intrusive way to get daily insulin. This would be something that I would much rather use if I had diabetes instead of a needle! {shivers}
I believe diet and exercise can help any ailment, but rather than use it as a cure in the case of diabetics I would personally start right away as a preventative measure, especially if you come from a family with a history of the disorder.

MAORI 'FACING EXTINCTION' FROM DIABETES
Escalating rates of diabetes among indigenous cultures could make the Maori and Polynesian races "extinct" before the end of the century, an
Australian expert warns.

The link is gone but that sounds truly alarming, if the races are facing extinction because of the epidemic numbers of diabetics among them. In America, the scary thing is that average age of Type II diabetes is growing ever younger.
