GRAMMY WINNER 'GATEMOUTH' BROWN DIES
Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, the singer and guitarist who built a 50-year career playing blues, country, jazz and Cajun music, died Saturday in his hometown of Orange, Texas, where he had gone to escape Hurricane Katrina. He was 81.

My father is a big blues and jazz lover and 'Gator's' death did not go unnoticed in the world of jazz. My dad actually has a couple of his RECORDS that he still listens to now and again. He played in a benefit concert with Ida McBeth here in Kansas City a few years back.
