Irish TV watchdog orders Zombies to stay dead until 9pm
DUBLIN (AFP) - Ireland's national TV station was ordered to hold back an advertisement featuring disintegrating Zombies until after the watershed viewing time of 9pm when most children are asleep.

While I don't agree with censorship, I do agree with holding back the commercial till later times. No need to scare the kids right before bedtime. Zombies aren't that scary to adults, but are sure to be for kids. Besides, those of us who have kids know its hard to may attention to TV while the kids are up anyway.
This used to be normal for public TV -- programming that was considered too graphic for children was always aired after 9 p.m. I can't tell if they are complaining about it or not, and the company that created the ad says it's supposed to be "lighthearted." Zombies lighthearted? okay....
