All Mugabe has to do is declare Zimbabwe as being led by a dictatorship and then there will be no need for elections because then he will be a confirmed bully. However he wants to ride the rift without having global intervention to protect 'democracy' or whatever little of it there is in Zimbabwe.

I doubt anything will improve there. There will have to either be foreign intervention or the Army turns him in.
