I do not know if I would call it the strangest, but I would say I have seen some women come to work in the most revealing clothes ever. Also, the hair styles of many women and some men leaves you to wonder if it does not affect their ability to concentrate.

Let's see...I think the strangest thing I have ever worn to work was a medieval costume. Of course, I work at a day care and we were having a costume day because it was close to Halloween. I have also gone to work dressed as a country bumpkin, with pigtails and painted on freckles to match.
I've seen somebody show up at a dance studio, an instructor that is, dressed like a biker with a long ZZ Top beard strapped on. It was crazy looking.
About ten years ago, I was working with a friend of mine whom I considered to be a "classy dresser." At least, that was my opinion of her, until I saw her new skirt one day. I remember complimenting her and saying that it was such a beautiful colour and pattern. She began to giggle uncontrollably and I asked her what was so funny. She beckoned me to approach her and whispered: "it is not really a skirt, it is a piece of cloth that I bought last month." I was very confused by her answer and all of this disappeared, when she showed me the large safety pin she used to "hold the cloth together." I began to laugh and even asked her why she did this. My friend explained that she wanted to visit her seamstress but didn't have the time to do so and today, she decided to wear it! Ahh yes! The things we do for fashion!

I've seen some really bizarre outfits - all in the name of high fashion! I don't understand some people's idea of "professional dress" in the workplace. A lot of it I have seen when picking up my daughter from daycare, because there are a lot of other moms picking up their kids.
Halter tops and flip-flops with tailored skirts. What's that all about? Earrings that are so huge they touch the shoulders. There's a funny kind of pants with a sheer panel overlayer that is really weird (I call them "car wash pants") that a lot of ladies wear thinking they are "dressed up." Then people who dress so wonderfully all week, on "casual Friday" they look homeless! Ratty jeans, torn t-shirts, and even house slippers! Crazy.
And, as JB pointed out, revealing clothes -- especially now that breast augmentation is so popular, everyone wants to show off their new cleavage. I think it's completely out of place in the office atmosphere and very unprofessional.
