That is right, I think the main thing about it is the accuracy and attention to detail, this is what separates the mediocre artist from the true professional. If I could afford it I would actually like such a piece in or around my home, but possibly in a position of pondering and not depression.

On the other hand, what is beautiful? One may not find the figure itself to be, but JB@Trinidad seems to find the craftsmanship to be such. I find it interesting that art can be appreciated on so many different levels. Perhaps among other things, the artist's intent was to use his/her craftsmanship abilities to make a statement against using only perfect proportions in figure sculpture.
