First Blood and Rocky made all the difference for Sylvester Stallone's acting career and it seems he wants to continue it by bring back both roles again! Besides this, what do you think about the quality of his acting?

LOS ANGELES - Rambo is back in business. Sylvester Stallone will reprise his role as gun-toting John Rambo in the upcoming "Rambo IV," said Ben Nedivi of Millennium Films, which is producing the project with Emmett/Furla Films. The 59-year-old Stallone also intends to bring boxer Rocky Balboa out of retirement. He will write and direct "Rocky Balboa," the sixth film in that franchise, with shooting set to begin next year.

I think the quality of his acting is extremely poor. I am schocked he actually made it somehow to Hollywood. I was watching a special about him yesterday in the Entertainment channel and they said that he always wanted to be an actor but because it was taking way too long to get a break in the industry, he decided to make a pretty controversial movie (porn type), after making the movie he got the role on Rocky and of course the first movie was sold as hot butter by some people who likes to make a buck out of anything and Stallone was pretty upset about it.

Personally I think he is not a great actor, because his roles are very similar most of the time. That does not stop me from seeing the movies though, sometimes I just feel like a movie that centers around the action.

I think he is getting a bit too old to go back to the roles of Rambo and Rocky, I feel another sequel will only diminish the other parts further.
(I am not a huge fan of sequels)

You have to admit that Stallone is an icon of the last 2 generations, possibly. With blockbuster movies like Rambo and Rocky, it is difficult to write him off as a bad actor. It is impressive that he still looks the way he does at 60 years old. I can only hope I am in such good health at that age.

I don't think Stallone is a terribly talented actor, but in Cop Land he out did himself. It wasn't his usual macho role and his acting was superb. He has made plenty of bad movies, but a few really good ones also. Rocky, Cop Land, Demolition Man, Cliffhanger, and back in 1981, Nighthawks are my favorites.
