Motivating Employees

What has been done or what are you doing to motivate employees to either work harder or more effectively?

MOTIVATING EMPLOYEES WITH CATCHY SLOGANS

When Jim Costello was working at a retail garment company in the 1980s, a new president took over and brought with him a fistful of slogans. They included things like `The Big Event` and `Dare to be Different.`

Employees Motivating

In my experience such slogans mean very little to an employee if there is not a salary to back it or an example from those who exclaim it. Monetary re-numeration is in my opinion the first best way towards motivating an employee and then showing respect for work well done.
