Growing Up

Growing Up

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Very true Brandon. It is sad when you can only realize the worth of life when another is taken away. We take too many things for granted, but as part of life, we will face many situations that are unpleasant and painful. However, we must not dwell on this fact, in anticipation of the worst. Instead, we should live each day to the fullest, and not worry about what may happen.

Growing Up Health & Special Psychology

I like what you said, Brandon. Growing up is very hard and whoever thinks it's easy has a short memory. But it's all worth it if, we can learn from our experiences and keep a youthful optimistic attitude about life and love.

Up Growing

Growing up requires us to finally take responsibility for our own life. Growing up means that we are now the final authority regarding our lives and we no longer have anyone else to make those decisions for us. That is what scares people the most about growing up is the absolute finality of it. There is never any going back to the way it was. People who are afraid of growing up, or refuse to grow up do so usually because of their fear of taking that responsibility of life for themselves. They think that if they can some how put off the inevitable, that they can stay "young" forever and never have that awesome responsibility of raising themselves and guiding their own life.

Of course, the ultimate call to finally grow up comes when we have children. Now, you are not just responsible for your own life, but are responsible for another young life! This is truly the ultimate act of growing up and puts to test our ability to finally take the restraints of youth off and take on the reigns of a grown up.

Brandon, what a fantastic "picture" of what it is growing up. I remember being a small child and being anxious in growing up. Sometimes when we are kids, we do not really know the challenges that come through adulthood and as adults we lose the capacity to enjoy as small children do, we are involved in being too "busy", doing "serious" things instead of sometimes just have time to smell the roses.
