Man Sues After Using Glue-Covered Toilet

BOULDER, Colo. - Home Depot was sued by a shopper who claims he got stuck to a restroom toilet seat because a prankster had smeared it with glue. Bob Dougherty, 57, accused employees of ignoring his cries for help for about 15 minutes because they thought he was kidding. "They left me there, going through all that stress," Dougherty told The (Boulder) Daily Camera. "They just let me rot."

What is it with glue these days? Now, correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't glue give a shiny appearance and strong odor when wet? How could this guy not detect something was wrong with the toilet seat?

And who is to say that he didn't do it himself? That seems to be the mentality of those who sue these days: make up a scenario under which they are injured, and then sue the deep-pocket corporation. I have to be suspicious of anything like this anymore.
