The best way to describe this case is what one of the detectives said "spur of the moment teenage stupidity". What in the world this kid was thinking IF he was thinking at all? *shaking head*.

"Hey! How'd you find me?"

Policemen were checking up on a car whose alarm had been set off just after midnight in the town of Hoentrop when they found a smashed window and two sets of footprints which they followed more than ten streets.

BERLIN (Reuters) - Officers soon saw through a German driver who posed as an acquaintance when he was stopped for drunk driving -- he forgot his alter ego had a glass eye, police said Tuesday. Police in the western city of Bochum said the driver's details seemed to be correct when he told them who he was -- until their records showed the man matching his description was registered as having a glass eye. A torch beam shone in face soon disproved this, however. "His eye responded to stimulus. So then he said he used to have a glass eye, but didn't any more," said a Bochum police spokesman.
