I am hoping that they kill these pirates. I know the captain escaped for a short time but the navy was asleep and did not react soon enough. I am sure that any other pirates will soon be taken care of and we will not have top hear about them after this. At least that is my hope.

That's too bad. I don't know why they haven't sent out some Navy seals to get it over with. The other thing I don't get is why the FBI is in this. No one in the Navy knows how to negotiate the release of hostages?

I guess that the navy wants the best negotiators on board. They are also hoping that two other war ships gets to the area soon as the pirates were radioing their friends to come help them out.

QUOTE
Pirates seize a US-owned, Italian-flagged, tugboat in the Gulf of Aden with 16 crew aboard, amid a standoff over a US captain held hostage.

These pirates are getting more and more brazen, the only way to stop it is a land attack and kill the onshore bases.

U.S. Ship captain held by pirates off Somalia, has been freed, senior U.S. Official says. Three of four pirates killed.

Thank goodness, now the wife and people in that small town can rest. Let's see what the US will do in the long term about this.

Obama took very long to allow the navy to do thir job. Something like 17 briefs before he gave the goahead to rescue the captain. Why does he move so slow?
