Sometimes you can take a basic exercise, add your own little 'way' of doing it and 'Wham!' you have a great workout. Arnold Schwarzenegger learned this well when he developed some of his own specialities such as the Arnold Press. I use this in Push-Ups sometimes. For instance instead of having your arms and palms under your chest I put them up ahead passed my head. This causes a greater workout on my top pecs and shoulders.
