Angioplasty

DALLAS - It hasn't become quite as routine as having your teeth cleaned, but a growing number of people are going to hospitals to get their heart arteries unclogged and going home the same day. American Heart Association conference suggests the approach is safe. It found complications were no greater in people who went home a few hours after having angioplasty than in those who were hospitalized overnight.

Angioplasty

I have personally known three people to have angio plasty done. Two of them went home the same day. The one that stayed did so because of concerns immediately following the procedure, and ultimately had no adverse events. I think that we have been taught to stay in hospitals, but in a age when health care prices are sky rocketing, its good to be able to save money and time, as long as its safe.
