PHYSICIAN SELLS BENEFITS OF WEIGHT-LOSS BALLOON

A doctor in Montreal has introduced a balloon device to help people who are obese to lose weight temporarily. The procedure has its detractors as well as advocates.

My questions are these: What prevents the balloon from passing through the digestive system? How do they figure it will last 6 months? What happens if the "patient" doesn't return to have it removed?

I think it's ridiculous.

This is non-sense. I find that it is also a risky procedure, taking in consideration that it is a temporary relief for someone who is suffering of a serious dicease such as obesity.
