I saw a TV demo of this product and it looks like something I would really like to have were I still in the art / building regime of things. The way it works is based on a laser giving measurements rather than using levels and tape. Has anyone used this?

I have never really been a tool fanatic, I always find other things to put on my "I have to buy that" list but I was speaking with a friend of mine that installs automatic doors and he was showing me a commercial grade version of this product. It is a little older than the one craftsman is selling now however it is based off of the same technology. He tells me that he wouldn't know how to handle himself if he had to go back to using a stick level and not have his laser around. He speaks great things about the technology of it and he uses it every day. I'll give it thumbs up, if it impresses him I trust that opinion.
