Honest Employee
Do you believe you are entirely honest in your work ethics or do you tend to take more time or take something with justification for ill treatment or greed? If not you, do you know someone who does this and even proclaims they do it to other employees? If you do, then do you try to convince them to do the right thing or do you tend to agree?
I have to say that I have been guilty of taking a little here in there from employers in the past. I don't think it was so much a matter of greed or for ill treatment, but... I like to feel that I give to my employer to make up for everything that I may have gotten out of it. I work a few extra hours or something that I never get around to charging them for (when I was hourly), and take home a ream of paper so I don't have to go to the store after work. Just an example. I can't say I was totally correct in doing so. But I like to think I have put that behind me. However, I can say I work with some people that do a little bit more taking, or taking on a larger scale, that I do not actually agree with. I have kind of figured out that they are going to burn themselves over it, so I try to stay as much out of their business as possible.
