Right now I have 2 wisdom teeth that need to be pulled and I am doing some research on the net. There are a lot of sites out there, but this is one of the best mostly because it is written in the simplest of terms and has animated teeth (hence the name) as examples. Check it out: https://www.animated-teeth.com/
Well, hopefull the pain will go away tomorrow JB . It is good because I want to do a check up on my teeth too, I hope to get braces soon (yep, I want perfect teeth).
When my wisdom teeth were coming out it didn't hurt much, and I didn't have to pull them out but I had toothache in the past, it is horrible. I heard that vanilla extract helps and ice also.

My teeth are sensitive to the cold so ice wouldn't be good for me. I had all four wisdom teeth pulled when I was in the Marine Corps. So, I was about 18 or 19 at the time. They were impacted too. I remember I couldn't eat for a while because my mouth was clamped shut. What happened is that my mouth is rather small (structurall not vocally ) so from having it forced to stretch open for as long as it was, the muscles got "mad" so to speak and I couldn't open my mouth even wide enough to put a spoon in for days. Some of it was probably a result of the swelling as well.
The pain wasn't too bad, but I really began to crave things like hamburgers and pizza because I couldn't have them.
Well, JB pulled his two wisdom teeth and he's in a lot of pain . I had a check out and clean out too (it was really bad) I need to take better of myself, in order to get braces I will have to pull some teeth from the back (ohhhh gosh).
Well after two weeks I am almost back to eating normally again. The current problem is that certain parts of my mouth are still numb and that makes eating somewhat of a task at times - it feels weird. I have a couple of questions for any experience wisdom tooth extractees out there...
What happens to the space where the tooth was? I am guessing it closes, but can't food particles get trapped there? After all you can't clean that area so what happens? My dentist did prescribe gargling with salt water, but that may kill bacteria but not remove any food trapped there... yuk!
