ONTARIO TO DENY DRIVER'S LICENCES TO DROPOUTS

Ontario high school students who drop out won't be allowed to get their driver's licences under proposed new legislation.

We have had this law in legislation in Texas for a few years now. I personally feel that it is a great incentive plan to keep students in school rather than try to make it on their own at a much too early age.

I agree with the statement from the article in that programs to help troubled students is needed however, this statement I disagree with. How often is a troubled student going to want to work to fix the trouble rather than run from it. This at least gives an incentive to working through whatever problems that they might be having.
