Is There A Secret To...

Most humans would like to be rich and if they genuinely did not care for riches most humans would still want to be well enough off that they would not have to be concerned about the basic necessities of life. However, many ask the question... 'Is there a secret to becoming rich?' Is it a secret indeed or is it a matter of self-application? What is your view and do you hope to one day be rich?

To Secret There Is

My hope of becoming rich one day lies in proper and continued investing. I started working at a young age; younger than most. I therefore started my 'nest egg' a good 5 years earlier than most, so I am hoping I can use this early start to develop a satisfactory sum of money. What that is; I have no idea yet.
Other than investing, there is always the option of getting into one's own business, but I don't have any good ideas yet on how to accomplish this. That would be the only other way I could see myself becoming rich. Oh, and maybe winning the lottery

Listen to advisers and the financial press blather on about the importance of picking top investments, and you'd expect a grim retirement unless you're a mutual-fund-picking wizard.
