Of all the persons known in the Islamic world (both past and present), which one person do you think most resembles or reminds you of your own character or actions and why?

I don't know allot of famous people of Islam, but in history class, I learned of one. Abu Yusef Yaqoub ibn Ishaq Al-Kindi

One of his famous quotes is still one of my favorites.
"We ought not to be embarrassed of appreciating the truth and of obtaining it wherever it comes from, even if it comes from races distant and nations different from us. Nothing should be dearer to the seeker of truth than the truth itself, and there is no deterioration of the truth, nor belittling either of one who speaks it or conveys it."

Finding someone who is deeply religious and highly philosophical, understanding that truth often exists outside ones own religious beliefs is odd.
