That is a great question. I would want to be allowed to ask God one question, "Why are innocent people taken from this world too soon?" I struggle with that question most of the time. My mother died nearly 10 years ago during a robbery attempt and I still struggle with the why. My niece was only two months old and will have no memory of her grandmother. How is that fair? My mother had the biggest heart of any one I knew. No one had a bad word to say about her. Why was she taken when we all still need her very much and rapists and murders are allow to live?
A friend of mine told me that the righteous people are sometimes rewarded by being taken to Heaven at an early age. They will always be remembered as young. They will never grow old and suffer pain in their elder years. They have been rewarded the ultimate gift, spending eternity with God.
So maybe I already know the answer to my question, but I still want to hear it from Him.

I have actually pondered this question once before after a sermon about a year ago. I came up with three different perspectives on this.
1. "If you could ask God..." could actually be "I did ask god..." I asked for forgiveness of my sins and for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to come and live in my heart. In this, not only was my wish granted to me, I also received the gift of eternal life in the kingdom of heaven.
2. I also thought to ask for God to work a profound miracle through me, to show his power and greatness to as many of his children as could be touched with me as his vessel.
3. A selfish wish that I have which in all earthly things I know to not be possible is to physically feel the touch my Savior's hand on my shoulder.
If I could ask God three questions, these would be it.
1. What is the answer to eternal salvation. Imbedded in this question is how to get to heaven if it exists and which religion/belief system is correct.
2. Why did he allow it to get so hard to figure out what religion was the right one?
3. What purpose does the suffering of little children have and why is it allowed to continue through out the world. IE starvation, violence, war, disease. All of these, why are little children not spared.
All answers from humans are suspect and tainted by religious beliefs. God would keep it real and I know his answer to me would be what I could live by. All those religions claim to be the words of God, but I would really love to hear them from him.
