general Draw Quick

Quick draw is a most impressive feat to have. It makes your character able to draw a weapon as a free action as opposed to a move action. This way you don't lose the ability to move in our out of battle, and you could strike with said weapon at normal attacks rather than miss out on one. There is also the chance to either impress or intimidate a Non Player Character with said feat. Any class [may] take this but it is most impressive with the martial characters(Fighter, Barbarian)

Quick Draw [general] Reviews RPG & Card Board

Sorry, Steff, I disagree with your analysis. Quick draw is a feature that, in my opinion, makes sense only for non-fighter classes. If a character has a Base Attack Bonus of +1 or higher, that character will already draw a weapon as a free action without having to possess this feature (and any fighter starts with a BaB=+1). It can be useful, for instance, for a wizard that would otherwise have to use a standard action to draw his stored quarterstaff after casting a spell that requires a somatic component.
Not a major feature anyway, in my opinion.

Really Brunconero? I did not know that about the Base Attack Bonus of +1 thing. It's never been played or talked about in any of the games I've ever played. Is it in the books, and which one? That would change my opinion a bit then.

Is like that since 3rd edition. Characters that have a [Base attack bonus] of +1 or higher can draw a sheathed weapon as a free action (or backwards, sheath a weapon that is in hand). Otherwise, it is considered like retrieving or putting away a stored item thus requiring a standard action.

I'm using my phone so I can't link you to the rules but if, for instance, you click on the Tome icon that appears whenever you post in my game it will bring you to the 3.5 core rules. Under the section "Combat", there's a list of the most common actions. All the Standard Actions that have a 4 next to them become Free Actions for characters with a BaB of +1 or higher (it includes readying a shield and a few others).

stop.gif' />

The both of you do realize that in each of these posts that SpellBinder makes she puts a rather obvious direct link to an explanation of the feat right? See where she has it: Quick Draw [General].
