We are slowly replacing all the VHS with DVD. Of course, as soon as we get that done, "they" will change to a different format and I'll have to start all over again (sigh). (Anyone remember Betamax?) Anyway, we probably have 20 or 30 DVD movies, and over 100 VHS.
We have about 40 or 50 total VHS and DVD movies at my house. Of all these, I have only purchased around five or six for myself personally. They include a few of my favorites. I usually don't buy DVD movies because if I don't take the time to watch it, it seems like a waste of money.
Offtopic but, I absolutely loved March of the Penguins! I would buy that DVD in a heartbeat. |
My husband, daughter and I probably have close to a hundred movie DVDs and will aquire more I'm sure. We don't subscribe to cable or satellite.
Most of ours are from the Wal-Mart discount bin except for the LOtR, Star Wars, Shrek, Matrix movies. We also have a Mummy set that came with The Scorpion King. We'll probably collect all the Pirates movies as well.
The discount movies range from 5 to 9 USD.
