
UAW raises possibility of strike over GM health care
As talks heat up between General Motors and the United Auto Workers over possible health care concessions, local union leaders are buzzing about the possibility of a strike if workers are forced into a plan they don't like. But it's unlikely the union could mount a legal strike against GM over health care issues.

I hope that legal action would be taken instead of strike. That would prevent the sky rocket of car prices in the wake of a strike. A strike would also have a much more negative effect on GM's stock prices. The fight over benefits is going to lower their stock value as it is.
GM DENIES IT WILL FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY
General Motors Corp. is moving as fast as possible to turn itself around and has no intention of filing for bankruptcy, GM vice-chairman Robert Lutz said Monday.
