I like Mariah Carey because of her voice. She has one of the great voices of our time in my opinion. She has such a phenomenal range, and can hit those crystal clear high notes, its really unbelievable. I have heard her sing the national anthem before, only one other person has ever come close, and thats Whitney Houston. She brought tears to my eyes and goosebumps to go with it.

I think she has a very nice voice, one of the songs I like the most is "Hero", she puts a lot of feeling on her songs. For what I read, she is a workaholic and that bring quiet stress to her life.

It is interesting that she hated people comparing her to Whitney Houston. To me, that is quite a compliment! Her style is very similar to Whitney Houston's. The first song I ever heard Mariah sing was "Vision of Love" and initially, I thought it was Whitney Houston making a comeback to the music scene. I always close my eyes when she hits the high notes of this song! What makes this lady so remarkable is she even writes her own songs! I consider her to be an "A" list singer!
