Dosen't Israel know that it's just asking for more suicide bombings, sanctions, etc? |
I am not aware of Muslim terrorists bombing a Muslim country, except for Iraq, where they are much more concerned about having a democracy in the Middle East, which would spell the end of their ideas.
However, this topic is dealing with Israel, not Iraq. In Israel, thousands of rockets have rained down upon civilian targets. So far, I haven't heard of Hezbollah shooting any rockets or missiles being shot at the Israeli tanks drawn up on the Lebanese border. You see, Hezbollah has no interest in any sort of warfare, only in terrorizing the civilian populace into leaving Israel.
Israel Relentless
The Israeli military claims it has killed the senior Hezbollah commander in charge of the central area of Lebanon's border with Israel. No word from Hezbollah.
An Israeli air raid struck a United Nations observation post and killed four U.N. observers in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese security sources.

Deliberate?
The UN secretary general Kofi Annan says an Israeli attack on a UN observation post was "apparently deliberate". Four unarmed military observers were killed in the air strike in southern Lebanon. The Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, spoke by phone to Mr Annan. Mr Olmert expressed his "deep regret" and said the peacekeepers were killed mistakenly. He expressed dismay over Mr Annan's accusation and promised a thorough investigation , saying the results would be presented to Mr Annan.

ISRAELI GENERAL EXPECTS 'FEW MORE WEEKS' OF COMBAT
With cease-fire efforts hitting a brick wall, the bloody fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon shows no signs of letting up. Miles O"Brien reports live, all morning long from northern Israel. We"ll take a closer look at how Israel's strikes on Hezbollah could fit into President Bush's plans for a more democratic Middle East.

One thing I find interesting is that the Israelis are constantly battering Hezbollah, and yet they are able to launch new kinds of rockets deeper into Israel.

I saw on the news that the new longer range rockets were made in Syria. Could your answer be that Hezbollah is being constantly supplied by Syria and Iran?
