When I read about this story today I felt so sad not only because this lady still missing but because of the chain of unfortunate events that took place after her disappearance.

On Republic Day, September 24, last year, Roopnarinesingh, a janitor, struggling to make ends meet for her children, left in search of a cheaper home.
The 44-year-old woman, of Plaisance Road, La Romaine, was told by a man that he would take her to Freeport to show her an apartment. She never returned home and has not been heard from since.
But for her daughter, Andra Roopnarinesingh, the loss of her mother turned her world upside down.
At 22, Andra was forced to leave school and took on the role of caretaker and breadwinner to four siblings.
She left her boyfriend...and he committed suicide. Two of her younger siblings were taken away to live with their father.
But more than that, the loss of her mother meant Andra lost her best friend. Andra told the Express that she believes her mother is dead. Source 2
