Why he didn't abandon him somewhere safe instead of killing him like that! I'm glad he got death penalty!

The baby was strapped inside the car when Xijun jumped into the car and drove off.
When the father realized that his car and baby were gone he called police, who set up a major manhunt. Police found the car abandoned in front of a school 40 kilometers outside of the city, but there was no trace of the baby.
The next day Xijun turned himself in and confessed to killing the baby after he wouldn't stop crying. "I stopped the car, strangled the baby and buried his body in the snow," Xijun told police. Source 9

At least he was still capable of feeling something wrong with what he did. This was the only right choice he had left in a life long time of sorrow in prison.
