Herein lies all the necessary to participate in Gwynedd Medieval Village Play By Post RPG.

What Is It About?

Gwynedd Medieval Village is a unique non-combative fictitious creation that allows Members to write about a fictional Character they develop. Since other Members are doing the same in Gwynedd Medieval Village this leaves room for a comical, entertaining and drama filled event in reading and writing.

Who Can Play?

Any Member of the Community with enough FP (Forum Points) to start. Ideally, you should have at least 200FP but you can start a Thread for 100FP if you just want to clear some land until you can do better.

You do NOT need Role-playing Game status or an Upgraded Membership.

You will most likely get FP from Posting in the Core areas of the Community. You can learn more: Points, Core Posts, Posts & FP - Forum Points

Where Do I Start?

There is a certain order in which Members can participate. More on that is given in Gwynedd Medieval Builders but basically you use your FP to create Threads, 'dress' them up, etc. You can use your created Thread to write about your Character or interact with others in Gwynedd.

Order Of Things

The more you 'spruce' up your Thread the more people will want to visit to read and be part of it. You can consider this like a competing Medieval Village where you use your FP and writings to get the edge over fellow Players.

There will also be a progressive system (sort of a points ladder) so your importance in the Village can be elevated or abased.

EASY STEP 1-2-3 GUIDE

1. Join the Community and Post your Introduction
2. Begin accumulating FP (Forum Postings) (?)
3. When you have at least 100-200FP go to the Gwynedd Medieval Builders and Reply stating you want to buy item, A, B, etc.
4. Once your Thread is setup and you own a Hut on it you can begin telling about your fictional Character.

List Of Medieval Professions Added

A list of the most common professions available during the Medieval period can now be found when you are clearing your land. I have also emphasized the element of being descriptive so that favorable text can be added to your Thread.

Ladder Of Prestigious Villagers

A rating system will soon be introduced and will calculate the top Villagers based on: Upgrades, Thread Replies, Votes and so forth.

To Come: Badges

Rewards of prestige for certain events when they happen in the Village. In other words I will add an event that Villagers have a chance to participate in, the winner gets the Badge!

More Upgrades Available

I have added Buildings: H, I, and J to the lineup. If you are at J you also get your Thread highlighted in the Board Index. Attached to these Upgrades is a point system that I still need to implement. Once implemented there will be a hierarchy in Gwynedd Village!

Ladder Of Prestigious Villagers

For the implication of the Ladder Of Prestigious Villagers there is now a new point system introduced. Basically, you earn points for doing certain things in Gwynedd and it highlights your character name and your Thread thus elevating your popularity in the Gwynedd Village. Thus Threads are rated by your overall Score and NOT Latest Post.

This is how points are awarded:

1. For every LETTER (A, B, C, D, etc.) you Upgrade to you get 100 points.
2. For every reply you have in your Thread you get 1 point.
3. For every Vote you have you get it times 11.

Add these up and you get your Gwynedd Score total.

Gwynedd Random Event

When you get to the stage of acquiring a Pet for your home then the Random Event Generator is also activated. This means that when you make a Post in your own Thread then there is a random probability that an event will occur. When this Random Event occurs it will be show right after you Post. You can then use this Random Event to add additional background to your role-play if you like thus increasing your ability to add more Posts.

Continuous Or Double Posting

Once you have made a Post in Character within any Thread you should then wait at least 6 hours before doing a follow-up Post unless someone has replied - then you can Reply right away. Players can boost their Score by trying to Reply to their Thread very often - this is not allowed, neither is Posting successively unless 6 hours has passed or you are answering someone else That has Posted.
