The heat of the fireplace starts to warm most of the immediate castle's rooms but not all so Krusten confines her movements to the rooms that aren't as cold. She puts on a kettle to make some herbal infusion.
Sipping from her carved wooden mug she looks on the symbols around it after each sip trying to study what the artist had in mind when he created it. "One day I will drink from a cup of gold" she thinks and then sets the mug on the table.
Feeling tired of the castle she wished there were more to do and another way of putting the blacksmith under her feet. She considered a few things but knew that the village needed to be more populous before she could gather in followers. Raising up she walked to her bed and threw herself on it. Looking up at the ceiling she tried to formulate a plan… again.
Out of Character: After awhile her eyes starts to close and open in slow motion as she relaxes, she hopes to dream something more pleasant than her constant need to dominate the village. After a few minutes she falls to sleep.
Krusten's dreams are a bit different this night because they center on mundane things from her childhood. She gets up reflecting on the past experiences and wonders why she dreamed of something she had not been thinking about.
In part of her dream she sees herself by a pond. She is going in and the water surrounds her but it really isn't something she wants to do. Then without warning the earth starts to shake and she becomes worried. Krusten awakes!
Opening her eyes the sun is now coming over the mountains and her pet dog is on top her sheets licking her face. "Oh, you're the pond and earthquake!" For what seems like a long time since it happened, she giggles.
"You're just about the only thing in my life that brings a smile to my face." She says with a melancholy face that doesn't hold true to her words. Placing the pup to one side she gets ready for a new day.
A silver pan of water awaits on her dresser. She goes over to it and dips her hands in. It is cold but still pleasant enough to cup in her palms and bring to her face… "Ah, that is refreshing".
