It is always nice to ride out on one of the horses and see the land starting to turn green as the crops that have been planted have sprouted and are growing nicely. This always makes Klar happy knowing that others are working well to make this village prosper and thrive well.

As the weather turns nicer and hotter I find myself wanting to stay inside more so that I can be out of the hot sun. It is this time of year that I drink a lot and eat less just to stay hydrated. Work is very hot inside the forge area.

The heat of the summer is upon us and the forge is hot once again as Klar continues to work hard to keep up with the orders that he has received. He also is working on improving his water catching system when it rains to help keep as much fresh water as possible for the hot dry days. He does find that he goes through a lot of water.

The summer is passing by fast. IT seems just like yesterday it was late spring and the farmes were planting crops. Now As I look around I see many of the crops nearing fruitation where the harvest will soon begin. I am glad that weather wise the year has been more mild than the last year.

With a nice few days of rain this past week right when we really needed it for the crops has refilled my rain barrels. This will help me with keeping myself hydrated. It also helps in tempering the weapons so the steel is hardened and ready for work.

The days are getting shorter again and the fields are looking very good as the crops are getting closer and closer to being ready to harvest. The rains are less but still enough to keep all the plants looking healthy. It is looking to be a good harvest right now. I know soon I will be busy as the harvesting will bring me many tools to repair or have replaced.

The harvest has begun and it is nice to see the crops are producing a lot of food for the village to store during the harsh winter months and to see us all through to the next year. It is always nice to have this bounty from the earth to help sustain us all.

With the harvest season winding down Klar is able to get a bit of more time to relax and not work so hard. Not that hard work bothered him but working pretty much from sun up to sun down daily could begin to take a toll. Letting the body rest some and have a day off could be a good thing here and there he thought. He just wondered now how the rest of the village was doing.
